Beskrivning
Geo Hotel Grindavik is a new hotel in Grindavík village about 20 km from the Keflavik International Airport. The hotel will open on June 1st 2015. Within a 3 minutes’ walk from the hotel you will find a supermarket, bank, outdoor thermal swimming pool, church, cafes, restaurants, gasoline station and a busy fishing harbour. A nice 18 hole golf course is also to be found in only 3 km distance from Grindavík.
Grindavík is a beautiful fishing village at the South West coastline of Iceland with a lively and busy harbour and a wonderful nature. The Reykjanes Peninsula exists where the North Atlantic ridge rises from the ocean. Here you can find 100 different craters, caves and lava fields, a variety of bird life, astonishing cliffs, high geothermal activity, and black sand beaches. Many interesting geothermal hotspots and attractions are also located in this area.
The hotel has 36 double and family rooms, all with private facilities. The hotel design offers good and spacious social area for our guests to relax in cosy surroundings. Geo Hotel is very well situated for travellers arriving on early mornings flights from USA and Canada as they get their rooms upon arrival at hotel (15 min. drive from airport). For passengers arriving on late afternoon flights from Europe, a hotel check-in and a relaxing visit to the Blue Lagoon (3 min. drive) before dinner is ideal.
