Beskrivning
At Omakase in Vika Oslo we offer our guests an unique dining experience consisting of a set-menu of Japanese Edomae Sushi. The Edomae style sushi was invented almost two centuries ago in Tokyo. The name itself consist of Edo, a former name for present-day Tokyo, and mae, which means nearby or local.
Chef Alex is one of the most influential sushi chefs in Norway, and was the one to revolutionise the Norwegian sushi-scene. Omakase means “trust the chef” and chef Alex and his team seeks to continue the Edomae tradition of the local by using only the finest sustainable ingredients available, mainly from Norway, combined with Tokyo cuisine.
Our intimate restaurant have a maximum of fifteen seats around the counter, insuring a special kind of atmosphere combined with modern Japanese design, giving you an authentic feeling.
The Omakase experience consists of 18 food-servings and some surprises. The food is combined with a unique beverage-menu selected by our highly competent sommeliers. If you prefer to decide on beverage-pairing yourself, we have an extensive list to choose from with beverages from all over the world.
