Beskrivning

Navnet Portlands er en kombination af et efternavn og det engelske ord for havneby.

Forfatteren Jens Henrik Jensens romanfigur, Nina Portland, bor i bogserien på 1. sal i samme bygning som Portlands – Coffee and wine.

Ydermere er navnet Portlands en hyldest til havnebyen, Esbjerg, og den udvikling byen har gennemgået.

The name Portlands is a combination of the word for harbor and the sir name of a fictional character.

In the Portland novels, by the Danish author Jens Henrik Jensen, the main character, Nina Portland, lives on the 1st floor of the build which today houses Portland – Coffee & Wine. Furthermore, the name is a tribute to the city of Esbjerg and its development.

In the morning and throughout the afternoon Portlands is your local coffee shop where you can get your favorite coffee, cake or a Panini and enjoy a quite newspaper. In the late afternoon and evening Portlands turns into a wine bar with a small selection of tapas, cocktails, beers and off course lots of wines.
Apart from great coffee and friendly service Portlands is renowned for their big selection of board games and their interior decoration with Danish designer classics by Børge Mogensen, Poul Volther and Brunnmunch. If the sun is shining you can also enjoy Portlands 72 m2 terrace.
